Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Troubleshooting

2FA adds an extra layer of security to your Fedhabit account. Here's how to set it up, rebind it, or fix common issues.


Setting up 2FA:

1. Go to Account Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication.

2. Follow the on-screen steps to link your authenticator app.

3. Enter the verification code to confirm setup.


Lost access to your 2FA device?

If you've changed phones or lost access to your authenticator app, you'll need to rebind 2FA:

1. Select "Rebind 2FA" on the login or security screen.

2. Verify your identity via email OTP.

3. Set up 2FA again on your new device.


Removing 2FA:

1. Go to Account Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication.

2. Select "Remove 2FA" and confirm via email OTP.

3. Note: removing 2FA reduces your account security. We recommend keeping it enabled.


Code not working?

- Make sure your phone's date and time are set to automatic. A time mismatch is the most common reason codes fail.

- Double check you're using the correct authenticator entry if you have multiple accounts saved.


You'll receive an email confirmation any time 2FA is set up, rebound, or removed. If you didn't make this change, contact support immediately at support@fedhabit.in.
